Verden About Us Banner

People often ask what the name 'Verden' means. The word 'verden' is a neologism that means ’to make green’ by growing. It also means ‘world’ in Danish. In our Verden world, we hope to make the system a little healthier (greener) by growing new ideas, cultivating responsibility, and developing a strong network of information through which other entities may benefit.

The Verden Group, Inc., was founded as a response to the overwhelming complexity and volume of change in the business of healthcare confronting physicians, employers and vendors today. There are plenty of resources and information available via articles, web sites and newsletters, but physicians and administrators simply do not have the time to read, comprehend, translate and integrate all of these many aspects into their daily business practices. By creating a company focused on managing the business of managed care, The Verden Group can help with that.

We are primarily a consulting and business intelligence firm that specializes in practice management, physician education, and healthcare policy interpretation. Our services are organized around three divisions:

1. Management and intelligence services

    - evaluation of managed care contracts and payer mix management
    - insurance contract negotiations
    - practice evaluation for operational and process improvement
    - information technology guidance and data management
    - interpretation of insurer policy and procedures to minimize cost
    - revenue enhancement and business sustainability models
    - practice management advice and educational resources

2. Legal and compliance advice

    - practice and partnership formation, guidance and formulation
    - advice regarding mergers, acquisitions and buy-outs
    - insurance and vendor contract negotiations
    - labor law and human resource advice
    - regulatory compliance guidance

3. Clinical services

    - disease management program models
    - pay for performance program evaluation and practice models
    - development of clinical service lines and ancillary offerings
    - best practices in vaccine and drug inventory management

We believe strongly in advocating for a better healthcare system, and realize that the best way to bring about change is by providing physicians and other healthcare providers with the business education, practice resources, and  clinical programs that they need for success.

We encourage you to explore our site. Over the coming months we will continue to build out our portal in order to bring you rich content, tools and services that will help you confront the many challenges of managed care today.
