Red Flag Rules Delayed (Again) Until 2011

With the requirement to comply with the Red Flag Rules for medical entities being delayed until 2011, practices must still have a Compliance Program in place to insure accurate coding and billing, proper documentation of medically necessary services, avoidance of improper inducements or self-referrals, and sufficient record retention. A program is necessary in not only building a strong practice, but also for being ready for the increase in auditing in the healthcare industry.
